RJFC celebrates Sir Doug Nicholls Round
RJFC is proud and excited to be celebrating the Sir Doug Nicholls round this Sunday 28 May. We look forward to including the whole RJFC community in celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and its contribution to footy with a festival centred around activities at our Citizens Park home ground this Sunday.
And all across the League, our RJFC teams will be wearing brand new indigenous jumpers this Sunday – we have many of our RJFC teams playing at our home grounds of Citz, KB & Burnley this weekend. Read more here about this new jumper and its story.
If you can, please join us at Citizens Park this Sunday from 12.15pm, between matches, for:
- unveiling of the jumper
- Smoking Ceremony & Welcome to Country
- a performance by the Yidaki boys
- a sausage sizzle provided by our friends at MITS
A huge thanks to all who have been part of bringing the jumper and this celebration to life – in particular Emma Beckers, supported by Steele Baillie, the team at MITS and our RJFC Committee.
