RJFC annual review for season 2021
Unfortunately this season we were unable to host an all-of-club Presentation Day, but we hope that most teams got a chance to run their own events to acknowledge the season and to recognise players and volunteers.
We now publish our annual review for 2021, which includes loads of information including President’s report, player milestones, club award winners, best & fairest and team award winners, along with season reports for every team. A very special thank you to Rachel Lowrie for her outstanding effort in producing yet another beautiful publication this season.
RJFC Committee Members were delighted to attend a number of team events over recent weeks to present some of the special club awards (check out page 7 of the review). We were also proud to present, on behalf of the club, framed RJFC jumpers to each of our retiring Youth Girls and Colts Boys coaches, who both went out in style with premiership winning seasons! Congratulations and thank you to Dave Martin and to Chris Swenson for distinguished service to the footy club and the local community over many years, it is greatly appreciated by the girls and boys you’ve coached along the way. Farewell also to our retiring Youth girls and Colts boys players – you are always welcome at RJFC.
Also worthy of a mention, is the winner of the 2021 Best Clubman award, Peter Tuckwell, who was also a recent finalist in the AFL Victoria Auskick Volunteer of the year. A fantastic recognition of the work Pete has done running our Auskick programme so well, as he hangs up the boots heading into next season.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone at RJFC for a challenging 2021. It’s not long until the 2022 season starts – in fact preparation is already underway! We look forward to seeing everyone back next year.
